Position Overview:
Web Application Engineer
What gets you excited? Is it collaborating with other brilliant engineers? Working with the latest and greatest technologies? Building market changing products used by millions? For us, it’s all of the above and we’re looking for all-star engineers who share in our excitement.
As a member of Ooyala’s apps team your contributions will reach millions of users and power video for thousands of content owners such as Warner Brothers, National Geographic, Bebo, and Glam.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and deploy innovative products related to Ooyala Backlot
- Participate in all phases of the software development cycle, working closely with product management and UI designers
- Work with customer-facing product teams to further enhance their use of Ooyala’s video player technology
Requirements:
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 2+ years of software development experience.
- Excellent object oriented programming skills.
- Intimate knowledge of ActionScript/JavaScript/C++/Java a plus.
- Ability to work independently on large projects under aggressive deadlines.
